New Year’s reflections: Elevatus grew in 2022, poised for exciting 2023

Happy New Year from Elevatus

If we had to pick a word to describe 2022 for Elevatus Architecture, it would probably be growth.

First, the easy one … our staff grew physically. We went from 26 employees at the start of 2022, to 38 at the end of the year. That’s an increase of nearly 50 percent, which is really remarkable. The new members of our team have made a great impact on our design talent, experience, and focus, and will continue to add to our diversity and strengths.

Next, our experience grew. We celebrated milestones on major projects including Electric Works, a CTE-focused high school in Brownfield, Texas, the Tom Kelley Automotive campus, the Levan R. Scott Academy, and the Indiana Tech Zollner Engineering Center Expansion/Renovation project, to name a few.

We grew closer to our community through events like the Fort Wayne Air Show, Zoofari, the Chalk Walk, the premiere of The Wedding Pact 2: The Baby Pact, Open Streets Fort Wayne, Adopt-a-Greenway, Rise Up Against Domestic Violence, Amani Family Services Lip Sync Battle, and We Care, among others. We grew closer as a team, too, especially during our staff and family-oriented events, and, of course, we can’t forget at our staff retreat at the lake in August!

Finally, our gratitude grew. As we added new team members, won new projects and opportunities, and participated in new community events, we found ourselves appreciative for all that we’d been blessed with and the opportunities we had to continue to grow even more.

Our motto at Elevatus is “Designed to Do More.” We keep our expectations high, we work hard, we celebrate the wins and learn from the setbacks, and we keep growing. A walk around the office will make anyone smile: the comradery, the talent, and the client-service focus of our team is palpable.

Thank you, 2022, for the opportunities and lessons. Here’s to more opportunities and growth in 2023!

Tucked away in a quaint workshop in the basement of his Fort Wayne home, Mike Gouloff paints. His brushes create a face, then a red stocking hat, and eventually, a white beard. One after the other, the canvases become art. Santas. Mike isn’t a professional artist per se, rather an architect and the CEO of quickly growing Elevatus Archite ...
