The city of LaGrange hired a design-builder and Elevatus Architecture for a new, minimally secure building that would be primarily used by the Probation programs as well as office space for the Officers, and house the Prosecutor offices. Situated downtown, much consideration was given to complement other existing buildings within the area. This building was placed on an open lot directly across from the LaGrange County Courthouse.
Many rooms within this building are utilized for training purposes with flexibility to house future functions and programs. The building provided relief to a crowded courthouse so that town employees had a comfortable place to work and to provide a degree of separation between Parolees and Courts. The second floor, where the prosecutors now reside, has security measures to protect them from a potential threat. These include door controls, metal detector and conveyor belt scanner. Dedicated entries are provided for staffing that require a key card to enter.
