Elevatus Ranked 5th Largest Justice Design Firm
Over the years, Elevatus has established itself as a leader in justice design. The firm has secured clients from coast to coast and beyond, and delivered secure and efficient facilities from small county jails to large federal prisons.
Well, Elevatus has now been ranked as high as its portfolio is strong.
Elevatus is No. 5 in Building Design & Construction’s ranking of the nation’s largest justice facility architecture and architecture engineering (AE) firms for 2023, as reported in the 2023 Giants 400 Report.
The firm was ranked No. 21 a year ago. A steady dose of new justice projects fueled the rise.
The new ranking is a result of hard work and expertise.
“It’s an honor for our firm to be ranked as one of the nation’s top justice designers,” said Cory Miller, Elevatus president, “but it’s also a testament to the dedication of our Justice Team at Elevatus. Our architects and designers are resolved to provide solutions for our clients and deliver secure environments that stand the test of time. That commitment to client service, married with the innovative architectural designs our designers have trailblazed, have translated into many new relationships – and even stronger bonds with our current clients.”
Added Justice Design Lead Tony Vie: “We’ve got an outstanding team of talented designers who show up day in and day out, humble, and ready to listen to our clients. The fact that our firm has been ranked among the industry’s titans, despite being located in the relatively small town of Fort Wayne, Indiana, proves that our small town values, commitment to our clients, expansive experience, and passion for what we do is a proven recipe for project success, no matter where we are located. I’m really proud of our Justice Team, and our firm as a whole, and appreciative of the clients who trust us to deliver secure, smart, and responsible facilities.”
Among its Justice project workload, Elevatus is currently designing a new jail in Allen County, Indiana; a new state prison in Westville, Indiana; a new federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas; a new police station and City Hall in New Haven, Indiana; a new fire station in North Webster, Indiana; and a jail and courthouse in Fall River, South Dakota.
Earlier this year, Elevatus was ranked No. 89 in BD&C’s list of Top Architecture Firms, 58 spots higher than the 2022 ranking. The firm was also ranked No. 47 for Top Retail Sector Architecture, No. 145 for Top Office Building Architecture Firms, No. 114 for Top Hospitality Facility Architecture Firms, No. 137 for Top University Building Architecture Firm, No. 150 for Top Healthcare Architecture Firms, No. 110 for Top K-12 School Architecture Firms, No. 28 for Top Government Building Architecture Firms, and No. 51 for Top Airport Facility Architecture Firms.
Additional rankings are expected to be released in the coming days and weeks.
NOTE: The study weighed revenue from all public safety/justice facilities buildings work, including correctional facilities, fire stations, jails, police stations, and prisons, according to BD&C.
