Elevatus adds Scott Teffeteller to drive growth in Healthcare market
Scott Teffeteller has pinpointed the key to quality healthcare. It’s actually a simple equation.
“If you take great people, with great facilities, you have great outcomes,” he says.
“It’s the people willing to say, ‘I hear you and we’re going to work with you and your family to make you better.’ Then, if you have great people, and you have a beautiful facility that promotes a healthy wellness lifestyle… if you combine those two, it can be a pretty phenomenal area.”
After more than three decades in the healthcare industry, Scott would know. His career saw him move from “the bedside to the boardroom,” he says, quickly advancing from a young x-ray tech into management and ultimately into top leadership. He’s held senior executive positions within five health systems across the country, championing a supportive, empowering, and visionary approach.
After 31 years, though, it was time for a change. With experience overseeing about $1.5 billion in construction projects, Scott saw an opportunity to put his calling to help people to work in a new and different way.
As Project Executive of Healthcare with Elevatus, Scott will lead business development efforts for the firm’s burgeoning healthcare market.
“I’ve seen the best architecture firms and I’ve seen those that are probably a little less desirable,” Scott explains. “And as I started learning about Elevatus, the fact of the matter is, they want to be No. 1 in whatever market segment they’re in, whether it’s healthcare, whether it’s criminal justice, whether it’s education. There’s a lot of really good, talented people within this organization, and organizations just don’t start rolling unless they have a desire to provide a bigger and better service. It’s pretty clear that this leadership has the capacity and the potential … to take the organization to the next level.”
Scott expects to spark significant growth in the healthcare market, which is led by Principal and Market Leader Tom Salzer. With Scott’s experience and connections, he says his primary responsibility will be to develop new relationships and open doors.
From there, he believes the firm’s work will speak for itself.
“It’s just getting us in front of the right people, giving us the ability to show them our skillsets, and grow from there,” Scott says.
Scott says he was drawn to Elevatus for its drive to be great. “Everybody wants to work for a winning organization,” he says. But he also recognized the firm’s integrity, and passion for making better communities.
Community is important to Scott, after all. In fact, it’s another figure in his quality healthcare equation.
“My background of work in healthcare will be a tremendous asset to Elevatus to help us work through and design facilities that are very compassionate, high quality, and give back to the community,” he says.
He’s catching on to the Designed To Do More mantra already.
