Elevatus welcomes Jenni Poffenberger as Construction Administrator
I had not yet formally met Jenni Poffenberger when I set out to write this introductory blog post about her, but one email told me all about the kind of person she is.
She is patient and tolerant and has incredible fortitude. I’d bet my life savings on it.
You see, Jenni told me she has two German Shepherds – siblings Titan and Bayla – and she and her husband have fostered 11 shepherds over the course of just a few years through a rescue.
That’s not a typo – they’ve fostered ELEVEN GERMAN SHEPHERDS.
Now, if you haven’t owned, fostered, or been exposed to that glorious breed of dog, as the owner of one myself, let me tell you they take plenty of patience, tolerance, and fortitude. AND TIMES ELEVEN?! Holy moly.
It probably won’t surprise you to learn Jenni is an animal lover. She dreams of having enough land one day to operate an animal rescue. She’s even rescued three baby squirrels.
“If I see an animal where it shouldn’t be, I’m the crazy lady pulled over on the side of the road luring it to my car,” she says.
That kind of empathy and passion to help translates beautifully to the architecture industry, where we work to ensure our clients are heard, understood, and cared for, and their visions become reality.
Jenni will handle Construction Administration for Elevatus. She’ll be the point person on our projects during the construction phase, ensuring the standards of Elevatus are achieved and the client’s needs are met.
With a background in visual management, project coordination, and project management, both residential and commercial, Jenni’s got the skills to thrive in the role. She describes herself as organized, with an eye for detail and an adeptness for project efficiency.
“I’m passionate about getting things done efficiently & having a great working culture,” she says. “I love to see all the collaboration between teams, internally and externally. When I see the schedule and all the little details come to fruition, I feel very accomplished and love a good team effort. It’s amazing what a small team can do, and the public only sees a small part of that as the finished product.”
But it’s the process of delivering that final project, though, from design to construction, that Jenni says she enjoys most about architecture.
“I value all the planning that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen,” she says. “Knowing the drawings like the back of your hand and then seeing it in real life months or years later, it’s a great feeling to know you contributed to something bigger.”
Turns out fostering dogs and fostering projects aren’t all that different. It just takes some patience and tolerance and fortitude – and a ton of passion – to see things through.
