Takeaway: Missouri Sheriffs’ Association Spring Training Conference and Expo

Missouri Sheriff Spring Conference 2023

The 2023 Missouri Sheriffs’ Association Spring Training Conference and Expo was held March 14-17 at the Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri.

The conference attracts sheriffs from Missouri’s 114 counties as well as the city of St. Louis, for networking and discussion on “law enforcement issues that matter most” along with “the latest in programs and training.” Talks included “How PREA Applies to Jails” and “Marijuana Enforcement Post Amendment III,” as well as briefings on the Uvalde, Texas school shooting.

Elevatus was one of more than 100 vendors to display at the annual conference. Throughout the conference, our team of Cory Dietz, Doug Dukes, and Chris Sailors was able to meet and engage with many Missouri sheriffs.

Here are our takeaways from the conference:

Overall, it was an excellent venue to hold the conference, but it was a good conference from a vendor standpoint as you are exposed to several sheriffs from the state that were in attendance.

Elevatus had an exhibit booth at the trade show. We had giveaway items, and we had a popular door prize. We were also located next to and combined our booth with FGM Architects, an architectural firm that we have partnered with on projects in the state. FGM was represented by Josh Mandell and Matt Niemeyer.

During the trade show our team was able to talk with several sheriff’s about Elevatus and what we do, and provide resources to a few sheriffs that were in need of other services.
