Warrior Park aligns with Indiana Tech’s growth-minded athletics program. The complex sits on the former back nine of the Donald Ross Golf club in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The building is an adaptive facility that can suit the needs of several athletics programs. Phase 1 of the Warrior Park project consists of a softball stadium, track-and-field complex, and multipurpose athletic building.
The softball stadium is a college competition-level stadium that features 350 seats. Both the infield and outfield are composed of an artificial turf. There are also batting cages and and digital scoreboard. Dugouts are also covered to ensure both teams are securely placed during gameplay or inclement of weather.
The track-and-field complex contains a 400-meter, eight-lane track with a natural grass infield. The complex can hold field events for discus, shot put, and hammer throw. There is bleacher seating for up to 350 attendees for competitive events.
In between the softball stadium and track-and-field complex, you will find the multipurpose athletic building. This beautiful building contains space for wrestling home meets and practices.. There is also space for sports medicine, consultation, meetings, laundry and equipment room and a men’s and women’s home and visitor locker room providing both services for the wrestling team and the softball team.
There is also a welcome center for Warrior Park visitors. The building houses administration space for coaches and other support personnel that are specifically coordinated with the Indiana Tech athletics program and promotes great access for student athletes to connect with their coaches.
